Advocate Rethabile Sakoane has over 30 years of experience in the legal profession. Most of which has been dedicated to human rights, particularly women and workers’ rights. An Alumni of both the National University of Lesotho and The University of London, Adv Sakoane’s career has included teaching at NUL. she culminated all her passions when she formed Tharollo Consultancy . The purpose behind establishing Tharollo was to advance work place rights, educating people about labour laws and labour relations and advocating for legislative reform.
In 2021 Tharollo Consultancy, still under her stewardship collaborated with various sister organizations to launch The Labour Law Society of Lesotho and Advocate Sakoane was elected the inaugural president. The Labour Law Society is a huge step forward in advancing workers rights in Lesotho and is a member of The African Labour Law Society.
